Willie Nelson is back “on the road again" and he's coming to Centre College's Norton Center for the Arts for a single performance in the Bluegrass on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.

With a career that spans five decades, 200 plus albums boasts such hits as “Blue Skies," “On the Road Again," and “Always on My Mind," Willie Nelson continues to tour and delight audiences everywhere. The iconic Texan is the creative genius behind the historic recordings of “Crazy," “Red Headed Stranger" and “Stardust." He has earned every conceivable award as a musician and amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor and activist.  In 2009, his releases included Naked Willie, Willie and the Wheel and the critically acclaimed American Classic.  Look for a new album, Willie Nelson's Country, this spring.

Debra Hoskins, Norton Center's Assistant Managing Director said “having Willie Nelson back at the Norton Center will be a highlight of our programming this year.  Willie is at a point in his life that he can pick and choose the venues where he wants to perform.  The last time he was here was in 2000 and he was a sell-out. We're really happy he's chosen The Norton Center as one of his stops." His accomplishments and legacy speak for themselves, but his work in music and film continues to grow and develop even now. This performance is sure to bring the warmth, personality and inimitable style of Willie Nelson's music right here to the Norton Center in the heart of the Bluegrass Region. Few artists have ever matched Willie Nelson as a true story-teller with such universal appeal and exceptional talent.
